FUNCTION:
MORLAND INJECTOFLUX 851 is a sodium bearing flux which has been specifically formulated for use with conventional types of flux injection Machines. When introduced into the molten aluminum in this manner. It degasses, removes oxide and non-metallic inclusions in one operation. The dross formed from this treatment is very hot and contains a very low aluminum content. 

 

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION
MORLAND INJECTOFLUX 851 is loaded into the Flux Injection Machine. The injector is the programmed to deliver flux for various periods of time depending on the type of casting method used.

The flux injection time will depend on the efficiency of the type of injector being used, but the following table indicates the amount of flux required to remove both oxide and hydrogen form the melt using a charge of 60% ingot to 40% return scrap.

On completion of the injection treatment, rabble dross into metal surface and allow melt to stand for at least one minute before skimming clean and casting.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
1. When handling use a suitable barrier cream on hands.
2. Avoid inhaling dust or fume.
3. In the event of eye contact, irrigate with clean water for 15-20minutes. Wash with soap and water after handling.
